Quirky feel-good horror

This page is fun and games. Please go to our Bandcamp to check out the songs, which are the only thing that really matters, right?

Artificial Intelligence suggests that our band should encourage you, the visitor to this site, to “Dive into the unique sound of Quirky · Feel-Good · Horror.” Our Robot Overlords say: “This band challenges the norm with a style inspired by the lessons learned from Nirvana’s impact.” Which was a summary of a line it was fed saying that the world learned all of the wrong lesson’s from Nirvana’s success. Oddly enough, having never ingested so much as a kilobit of one of our audio files, it claims that “(our) music stands out, inviting you to explore a blend of joy and the macabre.” And that happens to be the closest it gets to describing what happens when AARP eligible rock music nerds with advanced degrees get together and start making music to entertain themselves. It is a wonderful world we live in.

About the band

Exploring quirky feel-good horror

Quirky · Feel-Good · Horror is a band that challenges the conventions of success in the music industry (success in the music industry is by definition unconventional). Drawing inspiration from the misinterpretations of Nirvana’s legacy (okay, this is getting taken too far – we just meant that in a better 1993, the songs we write would have already been written), the band seeks to reinterpret those lessons through their own unique lens, merging humor with darker themes (We assume AI is having a hard time with our band name, which is a satire of Netflix Screen Savers). With a commitment to creating music that both entertains and provokes thought (we wish. It’s actually a commitment to making music that one of us, probably inspired by some combination of PJ Harvey, Black Flag, and Uncle Tupelo, managed to convince the others to play along with), they aim to connect with listeners on a personal level (actually, not really, or we wouldn’t have let AI create this site), inviting them into their distinctive world (We are over-educated middle-class suburbanites. Our world is not distinctive).
